David Archuleta Wants to Sing with Natasha Bedingfield

Little David Archuleta was asked who he would like to have a duet with in the future and David sheepishly answered, "Natasha Bedingfield".

It had been known long before in previous interviews that David admires the amazing Natasha Bedingfield and if you watched the previous episode of American Idol we have seen that Natasha Bedingfield likes the young singing prodigy as well (like hugging and giving David the "special treatment", lol!).

It really would be amazing how these two would sound and I know very well that their duet is very close to reality. Both would have a great mix of soul, R&B, and pop and their work will be quite enjoyable indeed.

I am quite looking forward for David's duet with Natasha. But don't get this wrong guys, if you think that there's something going on between them then you guys are just being too malicious (hehehe).

Natasha has a boyfriend and David has... (I'm sorry girls but he's taken!) well a G-I-R-L-F-R-I-E-N-D!

That's right the 17-year old is off the market and say hello to public enemy no. 1:But in fairness little Archie has a good taste in girls. The alleged girlfriend sitting next to Mr. Archuleta (David's dad) does look like a sweet little girl to me. Go David! Hope American idol won't tarnish your relationship with her (like many female Archuleta fans would wish, Lol!).

Ford Commercial

This has got to be the best Ford Commercial I've seen! I loved it because my favorite American Idol contestant is in it hehehe. Who? No other than David Archuleta. Who knew that David could dance? It was really cool how he grooved to the music.

I like the picture at the end when they painted the floor with the world using the Ford car, really creative.

A Memorandum/Directive to All David Archuleta Fans

As you may have already guessed, I am a die-hard David Archuleta fan and I am proud to say that I am an "Arch Angel".

We all may have heard the name David Archuleta from our friends or from anyone who have watched American Idol. For young teenage girls, they would scream and shout his name because they find him cute and adorable. Some would describe him as a young artist with a mature and musical soul.

Right now David Archuleta is in the Top 5 of American Idol. I know and am very confident that he will surely land a spot in the Top 3 (online polls indicate that the top 3 most favorite AI contestants are David Archuleta, Jason Castro, and David Cook).

But as the admin of Archuletafans.com has mandated to all it's members, we Arch Angels should be on guard and give twice the effort in voting for David Archuleta. I am not liking what I see on online polls because David sometimes is on the 2nd or 3rd rank. He lands the 1st rank but also landing any rank beside from no. 1 is not good.

So to all Archuleta fans, if we still want to continue to hear music that comes from the heart then please support David by voting for him at American Idol. If you're not American and live outside the United States you could still support David by buying his studio version of his songs through iTunes or vote for him on online polls so that producers would have their eyes on our David so that he could continue to sing for us even if he's taken away from AI (hopefully never!):

Christian Bautista (nope we're not related ^_^) is known as Asia's Pop Idol and by watching the movie you already know why. This is just one of the songs that I love that Christian sang.

I just love the message that the song brings. The song tells of a person that is weak in almost every way but what makes that person strong is his/her indomitable spirit. The person has the strength to always stand up every time he/she falls. That is what makes a person "Invincible", his strong will to never give up and continue to go on.

This is such an inspirational song and I just get into that reflective mood every time I hear this song. So to everyone, we are invincible! We just have to believe that we are and we will be.

Discovering New Songs That You'll Like

So a friend of mine send me a message on Friendster (yup I have an account http://www.friendster.com/grimangel) asking me for song recommendations. I have done this too for a time now but I've realized that I have my own unique taste in music and my preferences are not the same with my friends. So I gave my friend this advice that I think would be helpful to other song lovers out there trying so hard to find for new musical inspiration:

1. You can try searching http://www.imeem.com for songs and listen to them online. You have to register first if you're not a member but trust me this site is good and that you won't regret signing up. Listening to other people's playlist can be nice as you are introduced to new songs, artists, and new styles.
2. You could also try www.pandora.com. No, it's not the stupid girl who opened the box that contains all evil and hellish. It's an internet radio service that helps you discover new artists and songs that matches your preference by analyzing and matching songs from the ones you currently like. It's sort of an online dating service that makes sure that songs that you like are matched to you.
3. Or, if you have watched any good movies lately and you liked the official sound track (OST) why not research about the song and the artist of the song. Chances are you'll discover an artist you have never heard of before and that you'll like their songs and style.
4. Watch MTV or listen to the radio! Doing so would make you updated to new songs and trends.
5. Lastly, Download/buy the songs that you like and enjoy!

But it does help if you ask your friends for endorsements... because as the old cliche goes, birds of the same feather stick together. Your friends might have the same weird taste in music like you hahaha... joke.

Vanilla Sky - Umbrella

The first time that I've watched this music video I went ballistic it was so cool! At first I thought it was down right hilarious but when I started listening to the song, I liked their version better than Rihanna's.

So who are these guys? What is Vanilla Sky? Vanilla Sky is an Italian pop punk group formed in 2002. Their first album, Play It If You Can't Say It, was released November 6, 2002. To date they have released 3 albums, and are most well known in mainland Europe.

Frustrated Song Writer

I have been bored the past few days and thought that I should do something productive. Studying was one option but unfortunately I just realized that it doesn't really brings joy to me (unless I'm in the mood). So I decided to write songs and I was able to write songs.

I have tunes for them too but unfortunately I don't have time to record them and I haven't found a singer yet. I thought of my self but I don't want anyone to hear me sing for free (i need some talent fee you know... lolz).

The Stolen Voice

I really love singing. Ever since I was a child I’ve always dreamt of being a singer. Once I even made a “recording” with my favorite cousin, I wonder where she is right now. I believe that I can sing, some people think I am a good singer but sometimes I just think I am too ambitious to even be able to sing a note.
Singing for me is a good way to express my self. Music inspires me and strengthens me. It revives me and makes me believe in what seems impossible. My sadness, happiness, and mostly any feelings I may have. I do this mostly when I’m alone because my voice is always stolen from me when I want to speak. I am always held down when I want to stand up for my self. People underestimate me and even step on my rights. I want to fight but I just let it go because I know it’s useless. I always lose in the end.
There was one very depressing moment when my voice was really taken away from me. I remember it like it just happened yesterday and the wounds are still aching. It was one cold December and I was a sophomore back then. We were having this Christmas Carol competition and of course I was excited because I was ready to join in this competition and win it like last year. I was so full of spirit but was all sucked down the drain when I found out that I wasn’t included in the singers. I was crushed! Like what the? We didn’t even have an audition like last year with our other music teacher and she was able to pick the singers already? I then l realized that the audition was last times test, the National Anthem and School Hymn Singing Quiz. It so happened that I did not really sing that time. I thought that she was only testing if we knew the lyrics and what’s worse I had a partner who distracted me. She did not tell us that it was an audition!
Fine I should have always been in my performance level and always sang with my heart no matter how the song sounded (no offense to our National Anthem and School Hymn). I was sulking and I couldn’t stand a night with out thinking of the fact that I wasn’t going to sing. Was it because I suck? My other music teacher thought likewise and I had my third voice baritone pitch. But all of that was trash for her. Oh I loathed that second year music teacher of ours! I so hated her and I still do now. You know what added to my misery? There was this guy who was picked to sing but never really wanted to sing in the first place. He did not join in the practices and this really pissed me off! I wanted to give him a piece of my mind! I wanted to tell him how lucky he was and I should have had his place if he didn’t want to sing. I deserved that place!
I was placed as the flute player which “she” said in the later days was unnecessary. So I wasn’t able to sing and I wasn’t able to perform. My other unfortunate “musicians” were so gleeful and happy about the idea but not me. Oh no! I was a performer! The stage was my home I belonged there! But to my misery and beaten self, this wasn’t enough. We were forced to watch the contest which brought me so much pain. I cried and cried the whole concert. I didn’t care anymore what the people think. I felt so low so useless. I felt a part of my soul torn and burned to ashes. I remembered the nights that I sulked and sobbed. My classmates asked me what’s wrong and I gave them a lame excuse, I had to do research for our project and now I can’t do it. I swore that I would never sing especially in our school. But I love singing! And yup I never did have a chance to sing a solo. I really was sad during our graduation. The only thing that I wanted to do was to sing my soul out to everyone. Why did the other people who were worse singers than I was given the chance? Why was my voice stolen from me? All I wanted to do was sing. And in that graduation, now even, I realized that I had graduated with out fulfilling one of my goals, one of my dreams, to sing. I did perform on stage for our school play, Hatol ng Guhit na Bilog (The Caucasian Chalk Circle) but singing was different and I only had a small role (but they said there were no small roles, only small actors… like ouch!). My voice was stolen from me. Every now and then I still imagine my self singing on our stage. This will haunt me for the rest of my life. I guess I was never born to sing.
